TOP FIVE 100% NIGERIAN BRANDS THAT HAVE STOOD THE TEST OF TIME

Nigeria, here are our longest surviving indigenous brands Before compiling this list, I had thought of getting many brands on the list. I tried generating data through a survey, personal research by surfing the web and open inquiry from contacts in different sectors of the economy. After all efforts exerted into this task, I realized that there are only a few brands that can make this list. Did you just ask why? So did I. Out of millions of brands in Nigeria today, it is a pity that only a few brands can meet the criteria of being on the list. I believe that for a brand to be described as long-serving, it must have stood the test of time. Such a brand must be from a privately owned firm and it must have been in existence for over fifty years and still relevant till date. Also, the quality, reach and credibility of such brand are expected to be maintained and sustained till this very moment. Here are the top 5 brands that meet the requirements of being on this list: (1) Bra...

THERE ARE TOO MANY SCAMMERS ONLINE CLAIMING TO BE MULTICHOICE NIGERIA, BEWARE!

I tried paying for my DSTV subscription online last weekend and I discovered that a particular channel was not open for me to view. I knew my subscription automatically gives me access to watch the channel but it just couldn't come up. So, I had to call Multichoice customer care agent to help out. While attending to something else, I asked my cousin to help look out for DSTV customer care contact details, so as usual he tried "Googling it" and he stumbled on these: On dialing the first number, True Caller revealed the name as DSTV Scammer. The line rang severally but nobody answered the call. Then I tried the next one...this one does not have any information on True Caller but this scammer seems to be ready for business. He quickly answered the call and got my complaint, then he told me that I am not the first to call with same complaint. He said it is weekend so they are experiencing some challenges with their network. He later said that since I made payme...

AMBODE’S LAGOS IS GETTING DIRTIER THAN EVER

Take a look at these pictures, this is the new Lagos for real, if care is not taken, our dream of making Lagos state a smart metropolitan city may soon become a fantasy. Almost everywhere is dirty; both mainland and Island, you don’t have to move too far before you start perceiving the stench of refuse pilled up at street corners, corridors, roadside and just anywhere. Where did we get it wrong? Sometime in July 2017, the Lagos state government restricted the 350 indigenous Incorporated Trustees Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria popularly called PSP (Private Sector Participation) operators in partnership with LAWMA from conducting their usual waste management business in Lagos, then the project handled by 350 operators was officially handed over to Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Visionscape Group (a multinational company) and ABC Solutions Limited. What this simply means is that the Lagos state government bluntly shut down the ...
